On 12.02.2025, the KSU "Center for Religious Studies" of Kostanay region held a training seminar for members of information and explanatory groups on religious issues.
The speaker was an expert psychologist of the Republican Association of Psychologists and Psychotherapists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an international expert of the United Nations (Central Asian region) on profiling the "risk" group, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Shakimova Lola Sergeevna. The speaker spoke about the forms and methods of activity of destructive religious organizations, about the methods of recruitment, including through the Internet. As examples, materials were shown that clearly demonstrate the methods of recruiting and retaining adherents. Summing up, the participants were informed of ways to counteract the rhetorical techniques of destructive religious organizations.
In the last part of the speech, an exchange of views and answers to questions took place.
