Students received information about catalogs: alphabetical, systematic, electronic. We got acquainted with the departments: the department of information and bibliographic support, a universal reading room, a museum of rare books, where works in the Kazakh language printed in Arabic script in pre-revolutionary times are collected. Books in the Old Russian language are also collected here.
The students' attention was drawn to the sector of the local history department, where a full-text database of local history literature is being formed.
