Today, on May 5, flowers were laid at the monument to the Unknown Soldier in Victory Park.
As a sign of respect and reverence for the soldiers who gave their lives on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, college volunteers laid flowers at the monument and honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.
I put a bouquet of flowers at the obelisk,
I run my hand through the names.
The past war is rumbling close,
Knocks on the memory, giving us back
Those days when soldiers, our grandfathers,
They went to the enemy and died somewhere…
Not having heard, alas, the Victory salute.
