On February 23, 2023, the annual regional round table "Continuity of preschool and school education: workshop of experience" was held on the basis of the ZEREK College. The purpose of this event is to identify and solve urgent problems of primary education in Kostanay region, dissemination and exchange of pedagogical experience.
During the round table, reports were made on the innovative technology "Workshop", logo-defectological diagnostics of first grade students as part of the assessment of readiness for school, on ways to form functional literacy of students, new educational technologies implemented within the updated content of secondary education.
Summing up, all participants of the event came to a consensus that in order to achieve continuity of preschool and primary education, it is important to work in cooperation. To develop reading literacy not only in kindergarten or school, but also to instill a love for the book in the family, to assess readiness for school, not only taking into account whether the child can read, write, speak, but also whether he is psychologically ready. To teach students to express their thoughts, to argue, to analyze not only at school, but also in kindergarten, creating an environment where children can show critical thinking skills.
