On 13.12.2021, a retro trip "Kazakstannyn kieli zherleri Spiritual shrines of Kazakhstan" was held at the ZEREK College among 2nd-year students of the specialty "Primary Education".
He was not a batyr, he was not a warrior. His name means "scare" in translation. Today, students of our college made an online trip to the memorial complex "Korkyt-Ata", which is located in the Kyzylorda region. During the trip, they learned the history of the complex. We saw that this is a whole architectural ensemble with an amphitheater, a hotel and other objects and that four vertical steles in the form of kobyz make sounds, when the wind blows, vaguely resembling the sounds of a kobyz.
During the years of independence, the memorial complex was reconstructed twice and acquired a majestic appearance, and in 2018 it was included in the UNESCO list as a cultural heritage site and is under state protection.
The students were not left indifferent by the image of Korkyt, whose personality is covered with legends and myths. According to one of the legends, the thinker was looking for eternal life and could not accept death.
The eternal life of Korkyt continues in the music of the national instrument. Korkyt is the creator of kobyz and the founder of musical compositions for kobyz. His melodies, kuis, left to the people, still sound and inspire a sense of patriotism. He put his whole soul into these melodies, and the wonderful sounds of his strings sounded to the whole world.
